CIAIG stands for the Canadian Institute for AI Governance.

It is an emerging Canadian initiative focused on helping people and organizations understand and practise responsible AI governance through research, policy analysis, professional learning and practical tools.

Its central purpose: help ensure AI serves people and the public good, with clear accountability for how it is developed and used.

Knowledge Into Practice

We’re developing research, practical resources and learning opportunities to help turn responsible AI principles into everyday decisions.

Build the Capacity to Govern AI

Responsible AI requires informed people and capable institutions. Our planned work includes professional learning, training, certifications, events and conversations exploring AI’s implications for people and organizations.

Through interviews, podcasts and content on YouTube, Spotify, Substack and LinkedIn, we aim to make AI governance accessible to a wider audience.
